How to Treat 'Bacne'

BODY ACNE AND BREAKOUTS

HOW COMMON IS BODY ACNE?

Bacne, body acne and breakouts on the body are more common than you may think — about 60% of the western population struggle with below the neck breakouts, 15% from active chronic chest acne.

50% of acne patients suffer from both facial and body acne but more than 25% hide this information from clinicians and friends.

Body acne is linked to the higher prevalence of depression, suicidal thoughts, social life limitations and the absence or deficiencies of sexual life. It’s not only a physical discomfort but psychologically a heavy burden.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FACIAL ACNE AND BODY ACNE?

While both facial acne and body acne are related to the overgrowth of acne causing bacteria (Cutibacterium acnes) leading to inflammation, there are key differences.

Key difference 1: Sebum production and quality

For facial acne a common element is sebum, its overproduction, and changes in the quality of the sebum itself. Sebum glands however are less prominent on the skin away from the face and are almost non-existent on the lower part of the body.

Making sebum reducing products less efficient in treating body acne.

Key difference 2Cutibacterium acnes play a beneficial role on facial skin

For the body microbiome however, it’s mostly unwanted and forms pathogenic biofilms creating resistant acne forms.

HOW TO TREAT BODY ACNE

With a new understanding of acne, is the latest discovery of biofilms produced by C. acnes. A biological glue that prevents the expulsion of sebum-keratinous plugs (sebum & dead skin cells trapped in your hair follicles).

Eu-Body Cream targets this acne biofilm, while restoring the healthy skin microbiome.

Unlike classic approaches using salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, exfoliation, and antibacterial skincare, that often create unwanted side effects such as skin dryness and irritation by disturbing the microbiome and skin barrier.

Eu-Body is an oil-free biological solution using natural probiotics, new biohacking plant stem cell technology, addressing bacterial communication as well as skin identical vitamins with anti-inflammatory effects.

How to use: apply a small amount of Eu-Body Cream after washing, apply on the skin in the body zones affected with acne. Use for at least 5-10 weeks (even after acne has cleared).

Key ingredients:

  • Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) Plant Stem Cells Extract

  • Probiotics of Kimchi Cabbage

  • Niacinamide (4%) aka Vitamin B3

  • Dexpanthenol aka Vitamin B5
