How to Use
Wash your face and use serum as normal. Apply Myo-Fix Concentrate (if using) directly to the wrinkles and rub in with a cotton stick. Open the sachet, take out the mask, unfold it and place it on your face. Hook side slits to your ears, pull the lower part of the mask down to cover your chin and hook the second pair of slits to your ears. Leave on for 20 minutes. Palmitoyl hexapeptide-12, otherwise known as palmitoyl oligopeptide, is a new generation amino-peptide, a fragment of a type I collagen molecule. It acts as a neurotransmitter, stimulates the production of collagen and other major extracellular matrix proteins. Together with palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, it works synergistically and significantly increases the amount of collagen and hyaluronic acid in the skin. This ingredient is being studied for its positive effects on the skin, that has the same results as retinoids, but with fewer side effects. Palmitoyl oligopeptide’s tests suggest that this peptide may work to stimulate collagen production and help skin cells remain more stable. While retinoids can smooth wrinkles and encourage rapid cell turnover to make skin look younger, it can also cause redness, stinging, peeling, and itching. Retinoids are also sensitive to the sun, which means it is not effective for those who use their cosmetic products during daylight hours. In contrast, palmitoyl oligopeptide seems to lack retinol’s sun sensitivity and causes little to no side effects, even for those with sensitive skin.
Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 also known as Rigin, is a type of synthetic peptide compound which combines several chains of amino acids to reduce skin inflammation and the accompanying skin damage. This peptide compound is also believed to stimulate the regeneration of collagen fibers in the dermis by acting as sort of cellular messenger. Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 is also thought to increase the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin, which can help tighten skin by attracting moisture to the epidermis. This powerful peptide may reduce the production of interleukin to up to 40 percent (Interleukin is a compound often associated with inflammation, as the body creates it in response to damage.
